Fiftythree, the startup behind the Pencil product and Paper app, have an elegant downtown office in lower Manhattan, the 60 Hudson Street Building. Formerly known as the Western Union Building, it was designed by Ralph Walker (1928-1930), and features great natural light and large windows. It is at once an office, lounge, kitchen and meeting place for the team.
Why this space works:
Eschewing the traditional ping pong table aesthetic of most startups, Fiftythree has designed an elegant interior consisting of glass paneled conference rooms, walnut flooring and finishes, as well as mid-century modern furniture.
