Nestled among the pine trees of Lake Tahoe, this Californian boutique hotel has mastered approachable cabin hospitality.
Two daily rituals ground the Coachman experience: s'mores in the evening and waffles in the morning.
Why this space works:
Studio Tack has designed a hip, boutique cabin experience that doesn't skimp on amenities while staying grounded. The 1950s motor lodge has been updated from the facade down to the communal firepits. Their interiors are an artful mix of vintage pieces like the re-upholstered Percival Lafer Sofa, and modern pieces by contemporary makers Eric Trine and Stephen Kenn. The interior strikes a nice balance of celebrating its amazing location in nature, without being overly rustic or provincial.
